A few things you might be wondering.
Can I start with a blank itinerary?
Yes. Choose a blank document and build it your way, or describe your trip and have AI create the first itinerary. The assistant, place tags, attachments and sharing are available either way.
Do I need an account to start?
Yes, a free one, right after you describe your trip. Researching the full plan takes a few minutes, so your trip is saved to your account and we email you the moment the itinerary is ready. Meanwhile you answer a few quick questions and approve where to stay. Starting with a blank itinerary asks for an account first too, so your document has a home.
How much do I need to know before I start?
A rough idea is enough. Share a destination, budget, dates or the kind of trip you want. TripDoc asks at most three quick questions, then proposes where to stay and for how many nights. You can skip the questions or adjust the route. Your pace, dietary needs, preferences and confirmed bookings help shape the plan.
Can the assistant change just one part—or the whole trip?
Both. Ask about highlighted text, one stop or a selected day, or make a bigger change such as turning four days into eight. The assistant uses the current document and conversation as context. You can add follow-up requests while it works; they’ll be processed in order. Just write what you want: it can tell a question from a change.
What can I see in the trip and place views?
Trip view organizes the itinerary by day, with stops, highlights, overnight bases and a map of resolved locations. Open a tagged place to explore its available photos, public reviews, hours and directions. Type @ to find a place, or select a name you’ve already written and tag it.
Does TripDoc book things?
No. TripDoc tracks what to book and when, reminds you before booking opens or a deadline passes, and links to official sites and suppliers. You book directly with them, then add the confirmation to keep the details with your plan. You can also compare live hotel rates and flight fares; saving an option doesn’t book it.
Can I import tickets and confirmations I already have?
Yes. Paste a confirmation email, upload a PDF or screenshot, or enter the details yourself. Review and correct the extracted information before saving it in a private, protected section. The planner can then use the confirmed booking when helping with your itinerary. Text recognition may miss details, so you remain in control of what’s saved.
Will it keep interrupting me with suggestions?
No. After edits settle, background checks look for useful issues such as missing stays, unresolved reservations and timing conflicts. A small indicator opens a short check-in. You can dismiss or defer findings, ask for help, or pause checks. The check-in shows what was verified and what’s still uncertain; it doesn’t automatically rewrite your plan.
Can I share my trip and use it on my phone?
Invite people to edit or comment, or create a reading link. The document, assistant and trip view work in your mobile browser. Export a PDF for a reading copy to keep with you. Private sections stay out of public links and default exports, but remain visible to invited collaborators and the assistant. Document history lets you review and restore earlier versions.
