Terms of service
Effective October 6, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and TripDoc for using tripdoc.io and its services. By creating an account or using TripDoc, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use TripDoc.
What TripDoc is
TripDoc is a trip-planning document with an AI planner. It researches and drafts itineraries, keeps track of what to book, and lets you plan together with the people you invite. TripDoc is free to use today. If we ever introduce paid features, we’ll tell you first and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 to use TripDoc.
- Give us an email address you control, and keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.
Your content
Your trips, notes, files and messages are yours. To run TripDoc, you give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content. That includes sending it to the service providers in our privacy policy, such as our AI provider, and showing it to the people you share it with. This permission is only for operating and improving TripDoc, and it ends when you delete the content, apart from copies kept briefly in backups.
Only upload or forward content you have the right to share. Booking emails you forward should be your own or ones you’re allowed to pass on.
Sharing
People you invite can see a trip, and edit it if you allow. Anyone with a public link can read the trip, without its private sections, until you turn the link off. Think before posting a link publicly.
AI and travel information
TripDoc’s plans are written with AI and drawn from public sources. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Opening hours, prices, availability, transport times, entry and visa rules, health advice and safety conditions change.
Check anything important with the official source before you rely on it, especially before you pay for something or travel. TripDoc is a planning tool, not a travel agent: it doesn’t book or buy anything for you. We’re not responsible for bookings you make with airlines, hotels or other providers, or for their services.
Using TripDoc fairly
Please don’t:
- break the law or use TripDoc to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
- upload content that infringes someone else’s rights, or that is malicious;
- try to get into accounts or trips that aren’t yours, probe or disrupt our systems, or get around limits and security measures;
- use bots or scripts to sign up, scrape or send automated requests, or resell TripDoc.
To keep TripDoc working for everyone, there are reasonable daily limits on things like new AI-planned trips and planner requests.
Changes, availability and ending
We keep improving TripDoc, so features may change, and we may sometimes need to pause the service for maintenance. We can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
You can stop using TripDoc at any time, and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other people or TripDoc at risk. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to download your trips.
Disclaimers
TripDoc is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, TripDoc isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, bookings or travel arrangements. This includes losses that come from relying on AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim about TripDoc is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above. For significant changes, we’ll tell you by email or in TripDoc before they take effect. Continuing to use TripDoc after that means you accept the new terms.
